Fourth of July Firework Displays in Westchester County 2015

1) White Plains Fireworks

 

White Plains holds its annual Independence Day celebration from 6-10 p.m. on the grounds of White Plains High School.  Visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Free admission. Rain date: July 2. 550 North St., White Plains.

2 ) Ossining Fireworks

Ossining's Friday Night Summer Concert Series kicks off with a special holiday performance by Mike Risko Band and Road to Ruin at 7 p.m. followed by fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. at Louis Engel Waterfront Park.  Rain date: July 9. 160 Westerly Road, Ossining. 914-941-3189 or visit www.villageofossining.org.

3) Fireworks Shows at Playland

 Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. beginning on July 3. Parking and admission fees apply. Special holiday fireworks show accompanied by a patriotic musical score on the pier on July 3 and 4. 4) Kensico Dam Music Fest and Fireworks

The Gerard Carelli Orchestra performs patriotic favorites, followed by a fireworks display. DJ entertainment begins at 6 p.m., concert at 8 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Kenisco Dam Plaza, Bronx River Parkway, Valhalla.

5) Pound Ridge Fireworks

Bring a picnic dinner and enjoy fireworks at dusk. 6-10 p.m. Rain Date: July 5. Town Park, 179 Westchester Ave., townofpoundridge.com.

6) Larchmont Fourth of July Races and Concert

A morning of family-friendly races at 10 a.m. at Flint Park. The fun continues at Manor Park with live music including American favorites by The Dixie Dandies at 7:15 p.m. followed by fireworks at dusk. Picnicking not allowed. Manor Park, 99 Park Ave., villageoflarchmont.org.

7) Mamaroneck Fireworks Display

The carnival takes place at 7 p.m. June 26 through July 5; fireworks display over the Long Island Sound at approximately 9 p.m. at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck. Arrive early for optimal parking. 8) Pops, Patriots & Fireworks at Caramoor

Celebrate the nation's birthday with Sousa marches, Americana and popular favorites by the Westchester Symphonic Winds as well as American Songbook and patriotic favorites sung by Broadway's Ryan Silverman. Fireworks after the concert. 8 p.m. $30-$85. Children under 12 half-price. Rain date: 9:30 p.m. July 5. 9) Sleepy Hollow Fireworks

Celebrate Independence Day with a fireworks display at 9 p.m. by the waterfront at the old General Motors site. Rain date: July 5.

10) Spark the Sound 

Firework display, produced by Grucci Family of Fireworks, at the New Rochelle waterfront sponsored by New Rochelle Parks and Recreation starting at 9 p.m. Optimum viewing locations include Hudson Park and Five Islands Park. No rain date planned. Announcements: 914-654-2087 or newrochelleny.com.

11) Peekskill Fourth of July Celebration

The waterfront area in Peekskill is the place to be on Independence day. Festivities include a parade at 10 a.m., a free concert series at 7 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9 p.m. Parking is free but limited. Riverfront Green Park, Peekskill. 914-737-3400, cityofpeekskill.com.

12) Yonkers Fireworks

Yonkers will host a Fourth of July celebration and fireworks display on the Yonkers Waterfront, presented by Empire City Casino. The evening will be full of family-friendly entertainment including children activities and live music starting at 6 p.m. on the Yonkers Pier and surrounding downtown area, concluding with a fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. over the Hudson River. The Waterfront, from Warburton Avenue down to the Pier, between Main and Dock Streets, will be blocked off from traffic starting at 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.yonkersny.gov.
