Thomas Lake Road 4th of July EVENTS UPDATE!
Several of the annual 4th of July events held by the Thomas Lake Road Community Association have been cancelled for 2015 due to recent flooding. Charlene Crocker, President of the TLRCA, posted on the association's Facebook page that due to the road conditions, the golf cart parade has been cancelled. She also announced that the boat parade has also been cancelled due to water conditions.
We live on the river and it is moving quickly and full of debris. Even if it were not still high, for safety reasons alone, you would not want to put your boat in the river right now.
Now for the GOOD NEWS....
THE ICE CREAM SOCIAL IS STILL ON ☺
Bring your family and friends to the Thomas Lake Road Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday at 3 PM for an old fashioned ice cream social. This event is always well attended and loads of fun for the entire family. One of the greatest things about living off of Thomas Lake Road is the people. If you are considering living in the area, this would be a GREAT event to attend. You'll fall in love with the people before you fall in love with a house!
