Did you ever wonder Who mows all of those Vacant Lots in Cape Coral? With much of Cape Coral FL still in the development phase vacant lots are found throughout the city. On a rotating basis city workers come through with big mowers and quickly mow the quarter acre lots. The mowing is automatically done and billed to the owner. There are 7 mows per year with no mowings occurring January through March. The maximum grass height in Lee County is 12 inches.

Sarah & Les...It is a great service-for the whole neighborhood. Lot owners do get billed for service and have the option to arrange mowing privately.

Ed...12" is supposed to be the max for grass height in Cape Coral. The higher the grass, the more pests/animals that will find a home there.

Barbara-Jo...It probably started when lots were bought and owners were not mowing them as many lot owners do not live locally. City decided to mow and bill owner yearly with property tax.

City of Cape Coral provides lots of services for the residents and visitors.
