Every summer Living Stones organizes the Midtown Art Walk as our largest outreach of the year. Our heart behind this event is to build relationships with our neighborhood and community while bringing awareness to the amazing local businesses right around us. Living Stones has been organizing this event for the last 5 years, and has since built some great friendships with business owners and artists in Midtown who wouldn’t normally come inside the 4 walls of the church. God calls us to be a light in dark places, and this is a great opportunity to show the Love of Jesus in your community
Living Stones is to be in the city for the city, so come enjoy your city, invest in your city and build relationships with non-believers in your city.
The MidTown Art Walk is a FREE family-friendly event that will showcase 90+ local businesses within a mile stretch of Reno’s Midtown District each paired with a local artist to showcase their work.
There will be 4 main stages along Virginia St. with beer gardens hosting 15 local bands, magician Justin Impossible and the RENO-PHIL. During the walk there will also be FREE ADMISSION to The Discovery Museum and Nevada Museum of Art.
Look Books featuring all of the business, artists, and events will be available the week of the event at Living Stones Churches or Junkee Clothing Exchange (960 S, Virginia St). Look Book maps will be available during the Midtown Art Walk at each of the main stages. A preview of the map can be seen at www.midtownartwalk.com.
The Midtown Art Walk is Reno’s first and largest event of its kind and has become an anticipated staple in the Reno community. What distinguishes the Midtown Art Walk from Reno’s other many events is that it seeks to revitalize and celebrate the offerings of the city and promote local arts of all kinds.
