Direct Mail Example From Top Los Angeles Realtor

By
Real Estate Agent

Direct mail can be an excellent marketing method for agents.

Here is a list of 4 bullet points to follow when crafting a direct mail campaign:

> Target a specific niche and target a specific audience

> Make an impact with images & large headline or question

> Simple & concise – One simple message and one clear offer

> Have A clear "CALL TO ACTION" with an "OFFER"

The last point may be the most important.  A direct mailer (or any marketing) that fails with this last point can drastically reduce the effectiveness of the campaign.

Example of weak call-to-action?

Nothing but a "CALL ME" message on the mailer.

Example of a strong call-to-action"?

See example below.

Keep in mind,  the best results on your direct mail campaigns happens when you:

  1. Have a clear "CALL TO ACTION"
  2. Target a specific niche

Below I have an excellent example of how to use direct mail to build your brand and generate leads.   This example is used by one of the most successful agents in Los Angeles (500+ home sales).

This example covers all of the bullet points listed above.  It targets a specific audience, its concise, uses imagery well, poses an opening question to grab attention, and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, has an offer and clear call-to-action.

This direct mail is integrated with a "real estate squeeze page".

It offers a "Home Value Report" and boldly displays the domain name of a lead capture page.  This call-to-action sends traffic directly to page designed to capture leads (AKA "real estate squeeze page")

This setup with direct mail integrated with the squeeze page results in a higher conversion rate than a direct mail campaign that simply has the "CALL ME" call-to-action.

Direct Mail For Realtors

NOTE: I removed the actual domain from screenshot to prevent false leads

The Realtor used a unique domain with a "Home Value" squeeze page.  The domain had the farming area in it (In this case the city of San Pedro).

This Realtor uses multiple domains and squeeze pages with highly targeted domains (memorable) and matches them with direct mail to that area. In other words, it speaks directly to the recipient of the direct mail.

QUESTION: Do You Need Real Estate Squeeze Pages?

If you're interested in converting website visitors into leads then, YES!, you do need squeeze pages.

It is a marketing FACT that the use of effective squeeze pages generates more leads for a business (including your real estate business).

So why not use them?

Too difficult?

Too time consuming?

Too costly?

It doesn't have to be when using postAprop.

postAprop is a "Real Estate Agent Squeeze Page Service" that makes it easy for you. Check out the demo, live examples, features and FAQ section at postAprop.com.

It's easy to use with one click setup. Easy to manage. And inexpensive.

Jon Zolsky, Daytona Beach, FL - I really wanted to hear specifics but he had nothing to add.

One thing some question is the use of "home value" offers. Are they played out too much? The response is "do it better than others and separate yourself from the pack". But isn't that true of any real estate marketing?

The example I posted here has been very successful by doing a few things that do stand out from the crowd. Offering a CMA is still a sound marketing offer to generate seller leads. Do it right and you'll see positive results.

Chris- just wanted to drop by to say that I thought the information you provided was excellent. For the many people who have tried Direct Mail marketing and dropped it, I'd bet they would benefit from reading this.

BTW- at any time, you can delete a comment from your post.

Very nice. So often when we get mail from an agent it's nothing more than "I'm your neighborhood expert. Call me."

I meant to comment the last time I popped by, but it was for different reasons than to really read your post. :)

I really like this postcard. Makes sense to have it attract a consumer to a website. I'm much more likely to do more research online for something I'm interested in, than to call someone.

Direct mailers are a total numbers game. If you have the advertising budget there's no reason why agents shouldn't still be utilizing this marketing strategy.

Karen Fiddler, Broker/Owner - Not just a website.  The mailer sends them to a targeted "squeeze page" which is more effective at capturing leads than a website.

The "Call To Action" on the mailer is the key. It directs them to a lead capture page that matches the message and offer on the mailer (In this case a Home Value offer in the city of San Pedro).

I'm like you and usually would not call somebody initially.  This mailer makes it easier on the seller to take the first step and it starts the relationship with the agent.

Chris Locke - yep, both direct mail and online marketing works - if we have the RIGHT message and RIGHT call-to-action.

How is PostAProp different than any other landing pages service provider? Does it have anything to do with LeadPages?

Praful Thakkar - postAprop has nothing to do with LeadPages.  postAprop is the real estate specific service of the "squeeze page provider" at BestSqueezePages.com.

LeadPages is an excellent service.  However, BestSqueezePages has been around twice as long (over 5 years) and offers more services/features for about 40% less. It is now used on over 35,000 domains.

What makes it different is the combination of services under one account. It's integrated full hosting accounts and email marketing into proven squeeze page designs.  Nobody else, including LeadPages, does the same.

Under one account with both BestSqueezePages and postAprop you can setup unlimited squeeze pages with email marketing in place (No need for an 3rd party service such as Awber, Icontact, etc).  Additionally, under one account you can also setup wordpress blogs, & full websites.

With postAprop, you have real estate specific squeeze pages designs for buyer and seller leads. We have pages for real estate newsletters, first time buyers, expired listings, etc.    We also included single property sites & graphics creator for postAprop users. Not only can you create and manage squeeze pages but you can also setup as many single property sites as you need.

Coming soon?  Real estate blog themes.  This will be a free upgrade and should be in place in about 4 weeks.

To sum it up, cost of postAprop is much lower than any other "landing page provider" while offering more features and services built specifically for real estate agents.
