Digging Up Some Old

Sacramento Building Permits

One of the advantages of doing construction repair work in a Sacramento apartment community is that some of the work gets repeated. Many of the units are identical in size and design, repairs that need to be done in one unit may have already been permitted in the past. Why is this an advantage? Much of the paperwork has already been done.

If you have ever filed for permits, you know what can be involved with the application. Getting the maps, descriptions and drawings filed and approved can take some time. If you have already done an identical job at the same location, just a different unit, much of the paperwork can be repeated.

I already have approvals for this Sacramento Deck Replacement, I just need to apply again with a new address. Since it hasn't been two long ago, the codes effecting this repair will likely not be changed.

So I did some editing of the text, made some minor changes to the map, and will be heading to the printer this morning. Plans in hand, I will be patiently going through the building plan process today.

I love it when half of my job has already been done for me! It makes it easier and quicker for everyone(except for the one who did the first bit of work already).
