About a year ago I worked with a family to purchase a home. They spent many weeks pouring over their options and deciding on the perfect home. Over that time they kept revisiting a home that needed much love and the Mrs insisted that the home was talking to her, calling her, telling her that she was needed there. She knew in her knower that it was her job to love that house and make it her home.
I often think fondly of her ability to reason with herself. Purchasing a home is often based on that feeling of 'home'. For some reason one house over all the others 'speaks' to the buyers and one will hear the call. I'm not talking like 'ooooh spooky' stuff, but that inner knowing that you are home. It's that show stopper that tells Realtors all the time when they've sought out the perfect landing spot for their clients.
I have a home on the market right now that needs a great big hug. There is no secret about it. It really needs some love. Over the last two weeks I've watched some stray Daisies growing in the yard sneak to fruition and the last time I visited out plopped their flowers. It is impossible for me to quit thinking about my client last year. Just like that home spoke to her - I know that this home will call to it's new owner. For some reason the Daisies add to the charm of this particular home and I wonder... will it be the drawing factor for it's new owner?
It is a wonderful moment when a Realtor is able to hep a buyer find their perfect home.
And every time we list a home or represent a buyer? We wait to see that moment... that moment that a home finds it's new owner.
