The "Dive-In" Theater

As the easy, warm days of summer roll by, I thought it would be fun to get your feedback on a new trend in backyard entertainment.  What do you think of this concept?Floating Pool Theater

As more of us choose to stay close to home entertaining friends and family, an investment in a large-screen TV that's visible from the backyard pool, and a few hi-tech floating lounger chairs (complete with built-in food trays, cup holders and waterproof phone holsters for connecting to your wireless earplugs) seems like a smart idea.  What a glorious way to watch movies or your favorite TV series!

Jean - Now that's what I call living. You would never have to go to the movie theater if you had a dive-in theater in your back yard.

Jean, that makes perfect sense with how HOT it is in your area.  On some of those days when it is 110 degrees what does the temperature "drop down" to in the evenings?  A pool area entertainment center would be wonderful!

Hi Bruce Walter the temp usually drops into the high 80s by this time of year. Sometimes it will hover at the 100-degree mark all night. By late August, the water in our pools may be to warm to swim in, so we have to coo them off by adding new water!

Looks like a fabulous way to entertain. No chance of a sunburn. We have friends with a 2 story  indoor pool with huge screen TV. The pool is accessed from both the kitchen and the master bedroom.

Big fan of anything that deals with pools this time of year in Sunny Az. Even the inflatable Movie screens in the back yard make summer evenings in Az fun!
