Why is Denver Colorado such a great place to live, work and have fun?
Simple, Denver is about as perfect a place to live as you could hope for. As a matter of fact about the only thing we don’t have here is an ocean. If you like the outdoors you will love Denver, with activities that range from hiking, biking, mountain biking, white water rafting, world class fishing as just a sample of the outdoor activities that are plentiful here. Don’t feel like climbing a 14,000 peak (fourteener) then drive one on the highest paved road in North America here in Idaho Springs to the top of Mt Evans with an elevation of 14260.
We have fantastic weather, low humidity and tons of sunshine. As a matter of fact we are typically in the top 3 of most sunny days for a city in the entire county. Our days of sunshine total over 300 almost every year and many times over 310. When you think about it that’s almost 26 days/mo that are filled with the sun and the warmth and happiness it brings. If you are worried about snow don’t be. Our mild climate, even in the winter, and well run department of transportation, has the roads completely cleared the next day, even if we have a big snowfall.
For those who like the city life and nightlife Denver has a wide array of choices like famous Larimer Street in LoDo (lower downtown) and its option of comedy clubs, restaurants, clubs and night life activities. In addition to that I think Denver is a foodie paradise with so many great choices from fine dining to something quick and fun. Several of the local establishments have been featured on the food network for Diners, Drive Ins and Dives (I think I have that correct but you get my drift) . If you like craft beers, or the now legal marijuana there are literally hundreds of choices from local craft brews of all flavors and styles to appeal to almost any palette.
Sports fan? If so we have the Denver Broncos for Football, the Colorado Rockies for Baseball, the Denver Nuggets for Basketball, The Colorado Rapids for soccer, the Colorado Mammoth for Lacrosse. If you like sports your in good company here in Denver as we are a sports crazed city
Great schools, plenty of work and new jobs being created and one of the best housing markets in the country all add up to this being a great place to be.
