We all love our home town - most of the time.
And why not? Here are just 5 things that I love about North Reading:
A school system with Core Value and Belief that states ---
At the core of North Reading High School is the common belief that effective citizenship in the twenty-first century begins with a commitment to leadership through service and life-long learning that is fostered in an environment that includes all students.
Ipswich River Park is a 49 acre site at the junction of Haverhill, Central and Chestnut Streets in North Reading, Massachusetts.
This massive project was originated from an idea brought forth by the original Hillview Commission in 1992. The Land Utilization Committee and the Hillview Commission are charged with investigation and channeling of excess funds into open space projects. This project fulfills that charge and goal.
Formed 11,000 years ago by a glacier , Martins Pond is a 92 acre fresh water pond, nestled in the northwest corner of North Reading, Massachusetts.
The pond is approximately 1,950 feet across, east to west; and 3,050 feet long, north to south, with an average depth of less than 5 feet. The deepest point is only 7.25 feet deep.
There is a public beach and playground on the south side. Public boat access is authorized at the Northeast quadrant of the pond near Main Street just east of the Skug River inlet.
The area has a small dirt parking area and an unpaved boat launching ramp.
Outdoor Summer Farmer's Market are an attraction - every summer. Not only it adds to our evening walk and meet some nice people, its a way to get organic produce from nearby farms.
Usually it runs from 3rd Wednesday of June till end of September every Wednesday.
This year, it runs from 17th June till 30th September 2015 at Ipswich River Park.
This is my source of my inspirational reading and listening!
One of the best libraries where if I don't find the book, staff would help me get a book from somewhere!
The most recent audio book of 'Compound Effect' came from some other state! Thanks to such a helping staff!
