Buyer Tours Property on FaceTime and Buys it
The husband has never in person seen the house he bought. The wife started moving in yesterday.
It started when a nice gal walked into an open house and after realizing somewhat instantly that we got along really well, she decided to choose me as her Realtor.
The wife called me and said she knows the property she and her husband want to buy and could I show it to her right away? What? Yeah. I make the appointment, we head to the property and it's giddy love at first sight.
The husband was working on the inaugural European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan (see the opening ceremonies here) and got a tour of the house and the 2+ acres on which it sits on FaceTime. FaceTime! He saw the drive down the road leading to the house on FaceTime. It was a live virtual tour of sorts. The offer was written, signed via DocuSign and accepted.
The wife did everything locally and did a fantastic job. The time difference would have impeded most people, but not these folks. The husband was amazingly tolerant of being constantly awakened when something needed to be signed or a question had to be answered.
The games have ended and the husband is on the way home to see his house for the first time in person. The property on which it sits which has about 150 orange trees, avocado trees and various other awesomeness. It's so exciting!
Check out the property here.
