July 1 was by all practical means just another fog-filled day, soon to burn off my lunch time in Oregon, but for many of its residents, it was a day they had been waiting for for a long time. The day of legal possession of marijuana in Oregon. And to think that my husband and I were present to help celebrate this glorious occasion, not that we had any pot on us or even around us because we did not, but we can always say now that we were in Oregon when it happened.
Of course, what also happened is I ran out of data for my cellphone. Unfortunately, I don't get cell coverage everywhere and if I manage to run into a spot, it's generally not my carrier, so I've been on roaming, and I ran out. My phone stopped working. Oh, what the hey, you can read more about our adventures on vacation and see all the photographs in my personal blog today at this link: Rainy Day Women Takes on New Meaning in Newport, Oregon.
