It Is Now Legal to Get High in Oregon

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Gold DRE #00697006

July 1 was by all practical means just another fog-filled day, soon to burn off my lunch time in Oregon, but for many of its residents, it was a day they had been waiting for for a long time. The day of legal possession of marijuana in Oregon. And to think that my husband and I were present to help celebrate this glorious occasion, not that we had any pot on us or even around us because we did not, but we can always say now that we were in Oregon when it happened.

Of course, what also happened is I ran out of data for my cellphone. Unfortunately, I don't get cell coverage everywhere and if I manage to run into a spot, it's generally not my carrier, so I've been on roaming, and I ran out. My phone stopped working. Oh, what the hey, you can read more about our adventures on vacation and see all the photographs in my personal blog today at this link: Rainy Day Women Takes on New Meaning in Newport, Oregon.

Thought it was legal in California also already. Like being at home. Think you need a new cell phone carrier. Phone shouldn't stop working.

Apparently you have equisite taste in art.  $8,000 for the seascape and the seahorse sculpture.  I would probably still have them on my mind too.

Sounds like the morning fog will soon have an unmistakable odor in Oregon, Elizabeth.

Come on Elizabeth.  The five foot seahorse and the 5 point elk could produce lot's of interesting blog material.

Bill Reddington It's legal in California only with a prescription, but you can get a medical prescription for menstrual cramps. The requirements in Oregon are a bit more strict.

Chris Ann Cleland I bet you would like that seascape. I will have to call the Mike Carroll Gallery to find out who that artist was because some day I might be foolish enough to buy one of his paintings.

Tammy Adams ~ Realtor Maricopa, AZ I wasn't thinking about it when we booked the trip, that's for sure, but it was fun to think we are part of such a place in history in Oregon.

James Dray You are such a prude; do you mean to tell me you never jaywalk or run a red light?

Gabe Sanders I haven't noticed it, although sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between THAT and a skunk.

Conrad Allen I think I've got your number, LOL.
