Additional comments and information from the sellers:

What do you love about Forest Lake?

Forest Lake is a magical place to live. The lake has great water levels and is wonderful for boating, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. And the wildlife viewing is superb. You get a “small town” feel that so many crave, but remain close to so many of the benefits that the “big city” has to offer. It’s a perfect blend. And we really enjoy the fact that at 5 pm on Friday’s while others are facing multih our drives on congested roads to their lake place, we’re firing up the grill and putting the cooler on the Pontoon: we are ready to go!

If you are in a neighborhood, what great things do you do there?

Our neighborhood centers around the lake and all of the benefits that a lake brings to a neighborhood and community. You tend to have more in common with your neighbors when you live on a lake since much ofyour entertainment and recreation revolves around the lake. And while all of that is true it is also true that your neighbors can appreciate that sometimes you will just enjoy a little peace and quiet while you sit out and relax either in your yard, deck or dock while you enjoy a beautiful sunset. Lake living is as good as it gets.

My favorite restaurants around this home are:

We love Stella's for a great walleye dinner, Famous Dave’s BBQ ribs, Starbucks for coffee, and a nice dinner or brunch lakeside at Acqua. We enjoy Keys Restaurant for their homemade turkey dinner and pies. And last but not least we enjoy Scandia Cafe for their amazing breakfasts.

Grocery stores I love to shop at?

We shop at all of the local markets. CUB, Target, Kowalski’s to name a few. We also like to shop at Menards, Home Depot, and other retail stores in the area for non grocery items. This is a great variety of shopping in Forest Lake and the surrounding area.

Key points about the property that I/we were drawn to?

We love the level lot, the mature trees and the park like setting. It’s incredibly peaceful and beautiful. We love boating on the lake, fishing and kayaking too. There is always something fun to do. Or you can just hang out on the back porch, relax, and take it all in. Grilling burgers and brats, or sitting around the fire pit at night is also great fun for family and friends. We also love that we’re so close to “the cities”. It’s easy to go in for a Twins game, a concert or a play.

Why people should move to this area; why I/we were attracted?

Forest Lake is a terrific lake to live on. And the town has great schools and sports teams, swimming, boating, parades, fireworks, farmers market, arts in the park and so much more. There is also a great new library. And with the lake comes ice skating, cross country skiing and ice fishing. It's truly a great place to live.

Any great schools or other things to mention?

We have always been very impressed with the Forest Lake school system. And this is something you'll hear from just about anyone who is living in Forest Lake.

Anything else you can think of to attract a potential buyer?

We also love that the Twin Cities are close enough to easily enjoy the parks, museums, theaters and sporting events.
