Cellphone Coverage in Yachats, Oregon and Hiking the 804 Trail

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Gold DRE #00697006

It was another wonderful day of trying to regain cellphone coverage in Yachats, Oregon, when all of a sudden my phone went on the blink. No cell service whatsoever. Give me a heart attack. This was just before I received a text message from my carrier that said I had run out of all of my roaming data. I called them, and they offered to immediately increase my data at no charge. I don't really understand why except they kept making a big deal out of the fact that I have been a loyal customer for 12 years. I guess that's unheard of in these days of fickle customers. They don't understand I am simply too busy selling Sacramento real estate to change carriers.

But I didn't need cellphone coverage to hike the Historic 804 Trail in Yachats, Oregon. You can read more in my personal blog and see a bunch of stupendous photos at this link: Ingress Portals Approved and Beachwalk in Yachats, Oregon.

I love reading about your adventures when you travel.  Even better are the pictures.  Love that last one of the fog  over the beach and town.

Michele Connors I've had other visits to Oregon and Washington, highly recommend the Olympic Peninsula and Moclips. Portland is a beautiful, comospolitan city miles ahead of Sacramento, and I would love to live in Portland if it wasn't so cold and rainy all the time. There are always trade-offs. This trip was just for the Oregon Coast and Columbia River Gorge.

Thanks Chris Ann Cleland , you get my sense of humor, which is probably why you enjoy my blogs, LOL. I just put it out there. I like that last photo, too. It's almost like being covered in soft downy feathers.

Loved that last photo, it reminded me of the book When dreams may come.  I'll have to read that again. I just got home from vacation where my cell phone was on the blink part of the time. I figured it was a God wink that I needed a break. It's been fine since I got home.

One of my guilty pleasures is to simply turn my cell phone off.  There are times it's quite wonderful to have some peace and quiet.

Tammy Lankford Any fool can appreciate a sunny beach, in my opinion, but there is artistry involved in a foggy beach.

James Dray You can just follow my blogs to figure out cool places to go like I do with Myrl's for travel destinations close to Sac. :)

Gabe Sanders I routinely shut down my cell at 7 PM just to enjoy that peace and quiet.

Joan Cox I have a love-hate relationship with my phone. I love the fact I have instant access almost anywhere to anything I want, I hate the fact that I am dependent on it, and it is a bit irritating that it can't do other things, like give me a massage . . .

Conrad Allen Hey, that's a spooky nightmare nobody deserves to have . . . where is my baby squid . . . I seem to recall that it died and I was most likely responsible . . . biology was not my strong suit in school!
