Today the Entertainment Capital of the World is also the Basketball Capital of the World as the 2007 NBA All-Star Game is played in Las Vegas. An estimated 250,000 visitors are in town for the game and the three-day weekend, and the city is really putting on a show.

Las Vegas has been seeking a professional sports franchise for a long time, but leagues and owners have always been concerned about the association with sports betting. Apparently that concern is softening with the NBA, as witnessed by some of the huge All-Star ads on the Luxor and MGM Grand hotels.

You're right Carole, we have a ton of great photo ops here in Las Vegas. I don't get up to the Strip too often, so seeing the size of some of the ads was stunning.

I don't get out to the strip often either but we did go to Tabu on Saturday night for a friend's birthday and we spent an hour and a half getting out of MGM's parking garage!  It was crazy fun!
