If you’re looking for a way to stay in shape for swimsuit season, try a Zumba Class. The class is one of many events you can find at the Eastwood Recreation Center. Get a cardio workout this July, and get to know more about this part of Louisville and what it has to offer.

Cardio Dance

Zumba is designed to be a fun workout. You’ll be doing cardio exercise set to the beat of Latin music. You don’t need any experience (or good dance moves) to join the class and have a good time. If you feel a little silly, you’re probably doing it exactly right. By the end of the class, you won’t feel silly anymore because you’ll have that sweaty, satisfied feeling that comes after a workout.

The class will be led by a Zumba pro, and it will be filled with other people who have all levels of experience with Zumba. The Eastwood Recreation Center is in Middletown, near several large Louisville communities. You’ll find it at 16300 Eastwood Cut Off Road, a short distance away from Lake Forest.

Class is July 4 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The intense hour-long workout won’t get you totally ready for swimsuit season, but it will get you familiar with Zumba and with this amazing part of Louisville. Class costs $6.

The Lake Forest Area

Lake Forest is famous for its large, beautiful homes. There are more than 1,700 homes here, in fact, and many of them were built in recent decades. Homes are set upon large lots and designed with stunning architectural details. Lake Forest is a large community, but it has more to it than houses. This beautiful neighborhood also has community swimming pools, athletic courts, playgrounds, a private country club and even a championship golf course.

In other words, you don't have to leave the neighborhood to find entertainment for the entire family. You can literally spend the whole day together just in Lake Forest. The neighborhood is gorgeous in summer when the landscaping is blooming, but Lake Forest is also famous for its Christmas decorations during the holiday season.

It's a large community, but an active one. The Eastwood Community Center provides lots of chances for people from Lake Forest and other Middletown neighborhoods to get together. Find out more about what you can do in this part of town this July, and you'll be glad you did.
