Good morning everyone-Hope you had a fabulous 4th of July. I came across the quote (below) and it is perfect for me because of my trips I take now and for the future good Lord willing. I have plans to travel the U.S. and Canada in a motorhome when I am free to do so but until then my car or plane trips will do nicely.

Planes are nice for long distance trips but there is something about traveling the open roads that gives me the feeling of such freedom. While I do have to take breaks and my sciatica doesn't like it and it may slow me down it won't stop me. This is one of the tools in my arsenal to help with the pain. It is called a activator and chiropractors use it and it has been a real blessing for me. It hurts but it helps.

I see my chiropractor regularly and am familiar with the tool. Don't know what I'ld do without my chiro visits!

Nicole-I have a spot on my upper back that the chiro has to use that almost ever time I go. I have been to chiro that only use that. When I left NY the chiro there ordered me one and I have used it a lot over the 9 yrs. I have some very sensitive spots and while it hurts like the dickens it does the trick and makes it feel better which I am so glad for.

Sharon-I do have to do a lot of downsizing for when that times comes but I do look forward to that time. I see mine either every month or every other month depending on how much I am hurting. I would be in bad shape without my adjustments.

Sharon I can see you driving your motor home wearing a gypsy hat and flowing skirt - fun! I've had fun traveling in a motor home and it's a blast. Some of our friends live in one and we never know where they'll be going next. They love it. When you're in in Phoenix you can visit my chiro and he'll fix you up and use the activator too. I know how miserable sciatica can be - had it bad for months after the broken foot last year. Fast forward....and it's 98% good. Going back for 'tune ups' ,as I call, them is good idea. I have a feeling traveling around is going to be just the perfect thing for you!

I look forward to that Anna-I will have to have a list of chiropractors and massage therapists when I hit the road. Nice part is when I am hurting too much I can stop and rest for however I need to. I have had sciatica since 1998 and it can be a bear. Ice and sciatica are my best bets. I hope I can get a doctor to give me meds I need which the only thing that helps when it gets real bad is predisone.

You might have heard this before... you may even laugh at me saying this, but my mom had something similiar to sciatica and she kept doing yoga and she said it really helped! Safe travels to you!

Sharon- I love that you have been able to take more time for yourself and what you enjoy doing. Larry and I see a chiropractor, but I've not had that tool used on me. I do sleep with a pillow between my knees and it has helped me immensely.

Hi Kathy-It is something I need to do for ME, I have tried the pillow thing and it actually makes the pain worse in the lower back. Glad it has helped you

I also took a one night pilot car trip with him hauling bridge trusses from Denver to Delta. It was amazing.

My back was out again over the weekend. I had to take a muscle relaxer to get some pain relief. Then Lucky got hurt at the doggie park. He'll be fine, but it was a rough weekend for us.

Debbie Laity -Sorry about your back. Mine has not been the best in a while. I can't take muscle relaxers. They make me feel stoned not that I have ever been stoned but I imagine that is how it would feel.
