Have You Heard the One About the Nun's vs. Katy Perry
This story has been in the news recently and it is fasinating.

The Catholic Archdiocese is trying to sell a pricey convent in Los Feliz, CA (Hollywood area) to celebrity Katy Perry for $14.5 Million cash. On the other side of this sale, the nuns from the convent have recently sold it to a local restaurateur Dana Hollister for $15.5 Million who has plans to convert it into a boutique hotel.
Los Angeles Archbishop Jose Gomez is disputing the recent sale with the two elderly Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Sister Catherine Rose and Sister Rita because he wants to sell the convent to international superstar singer Katy Perry.
Sister Rita and Sister Rose, ages 77 and 78 , both say they pooled their money years ago and purchased the convent with thoughts of making a profit for their retirement.
How could this have happened? A lawsuit has been filed by the Catholic Archdiocese and says the nuns had no legal right to sell to Hollister. Gomez released a statement that Hollister better not start hanging pictures yet.
How could this have happened? We have very strict real estate laws in California so how did it get through title if the nuns are not the legal owners. Seems that their must have been some documentation to the nun's ownership rights?
This is something that will be hashed out in court and later a Hollywood movie will be made.
What do you think?
