- North Scottsdale Restaurants - Soul Cafe -
I recently had the chance to dine at Soul Cafe, on the corner of Miller Road and Pinnacle Peak in North Scottsdale. I had heard good things about it, but had not yet been in quite yet. We were there for lunch and the experience certainly lived up to the positive reviews.
We were seated promptly and our server could not have been friendlier.
The lunch menu is pretty extensive. You have the choice of hot or cold sandwiches, rustic pizzas, salads or burgers.
We ordered the Cobb Salad and the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich, which fell under the cold sandwich offerings. The Cobb Salad came with the ingredients one would expect, but it was the freshness of the greens that really set the salad apart. Plus, the chicken was perfectly cooked.
The Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich was also a standout. Prepared on sourdough bread, it came with chicken, havarti cheese and was loaded with vegetables like cucumbers, tomato, lettuce and avocado. It also came with a side of chips and a crunchy dill pickle.
It was a great lunch and one we will come back for.
Soul Cafe also offers breakfast daily and dinner from Tuesday through Saturday. Its breakfast offerings come highly rated and I have heard the Friday night fish fry is incredible.
Soul Cafe offers live music nightly as well as weekly dinner specials, such as the previously mentioned fish fry and others like pizza night and all-you-can-eat fried chicken night.
And, Soul Cafe has a 2015 summer promotion where kids under 10 eat free.
If you are in the neighborhood and have not had an opportunity to try Soul Cafe, it is worth a stop.
