Funky, funny little Bellefonte! With a population of 1193 and a land area of .18 square miles, it’s hard to imagine it as an arts, antiques, and “eclectica” hot spot, but it is. Situated a stone’s throw from the Delaware River between the northern edge of Wilmington, Delaware and the Pennsylvania State line, this incorporated town is a popular place for first time buyers as well as those who have lived there for generations.
Bellefonte Vintage has recently come under the ownership of Susan Walton, who has cleared out much stale merchandise and put her own spin on the genre, with “antiques and great finds”. She is at 901 Brandywine Blvd., and online at www.bellefontevintage.com. Open T-W-F 11-6, Th 11-4, Sat 10-5, Sun 12-4.
