It's that time again when Santa Monica's twilight summer concert and most popular event returns to the beach. July 9th is the 30th year that Santa Monica brings back its twilight concert right on the beach.
This year they have a new stage and a wonderful line up of performers. Santa Monica is 8.3 square miles of walkable city and 5 miles of beautiful coastline.
In the 1970's the popular sitcom Three's Company was filmed in a Santa Monica appartment just blocks from the beach. Chrissy, Janet and Jack Tripper paid $100.00 a month each to rent their appartment.Today that same type of appartment would go from $4,000-$5,000 a month.
Real Estate in Santa Monica is hot. While real estate values tend to fluctuate with a current increase in value of 3.1 percent in Los Angeles right now, rents on the other hand have continued to go up for the last five years. Rents in Los Angeles are up 7.8 percent.
