Green Building Practice what you preach

This is our first attempt at blogging so bear with us. We are Certified ECOBrokers. This designation means that have been educated in energy and environmental issues that affect realestate transactions, ie, green building. A national survey indicated that 80% of the people surveyed were interested in green building. Our goal is to educate the people in Oklahoma about the economic and environmental benefits of green building. We decided that the best way to share our knowledge about the important issues with green building such as energy efficiency, indoor air quality, water management, environmental friendly products, solar energy and energy recovery ventilation is to put into practice what we preach. We have decided to build a green home incorporating as many green features that is economically feasible. If you would like to follow us through this whole process, I will be reporting on the design criteria and all of the decisions and problems that we will encounter inorder to complete this project.
