You may take it for granted, but you Personal style can play a major roll in finding a house that feels like home. Before heading out on your first house-hunting expedition, take a few moments to create a profile of what your ideal home would like. Walk through each room in your existing home and make a checklist of everyday features you already have that you must have again in your new home. Also, make a note of all the features you don't want, but you think you'd like. Keep the list handy and add items as you think of them. You may want to rate each feature with either an "A" for the top priority, or "B" for the moderate priority, or a "C" for amenities you'd like, but would be willing to do without. It will be easy to prioritize if you keep your typical day in mind as you go. For example, are you always searching for more space? Would a center island make preparing foood for your family easier? Do you need an extra bedroom or a finished lasement? The answers to these questions can help you focus on the features that you truly desire in your next home. Call me and I will be happy to help you find the home of your dreams.
