Buyers: no more driving around, looking for directional signs to open houses! No more pouring over the Dallas Morning News real estate section on the weekends! With a few mouse clicks, buyers can search for open houses in specific neighborhoods in specific price ranges on the Internet.
The developer of the Powerpage, Len Reeves, is at it again - this time, he's created an open house registry for Keller Williams agents in the North Texas area. The site just went live yesterday and it's already attracting attention. Len unveiled his creation at our office meeting on Monday to overwhelming enthusiasm.
It's easy for agents to register on the site and even easier to create the open house listing. Property descriptions and photos are pulled in from the listing information on the KW website. In addition to getting exposure for open houses, this site also provides lead generation for the agent creating the open house listing.
This is a win-win for both agents and buyers searching for open houses! Buyers can search by city/neighborhoods and price range. Results show with a thumbnail photo for each open house and a link for additional details and photos. Open houses automatically drop off the website's calendar at the ending time so agents don't have to remember to delete entries. Open houses can be added up to a week in advance of the event.
There aren't many open houses scheduled for this coming weekend yet since the site is so new, but keep your eye on it and bookmark it for future reference. For now, to see how it works, look for open houses in Plano in the $551,000-$650,000 range and in Addison in the $0-$150,000 range.
