Why do people live here?

The Woodlands is a private gated 
Mandeville 
subdivision that is truly focused on its residents' comfort. Some of the wonderful amenities includea large neighborhood swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, exercise path, children's playground, and plenty of beautiful green space.  The subdivision is conveniently located near the Causeway Bridge and several  shopping centers with lots of local restaurants to enjoy.  The Woodlands' Property Owners Association hosts many events for residents to meet and interact with others in the subdivision, and they also keep their website up-to-date with important updates and helpful information.

What's the neighborhood like?

Most of the homes here are 4-5 bedrooms and 2-3 baths. They average in size from approximately 2800 to 3500 square feet of living area. Typical amenities in these homes include wood floors and crown molding in the living area and granite counters and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. In 2014 alone there were 22 homes that were sold throughout the subdivision. Typical home styles that are found here are French Country or traditional and are constructed of brick, stucco and vinyl siding. This is a nicely maintained neighborhood and a very popular choice among homebuyers.

 What's going on near The Woodlands?

 

Located off Highway 1088, The Woodlands is in a great place suited for people with all types of interests. Every taste is catered to by delicious eateries near the subdivision like Bosco's for authentic Italian food, The Broken Egg Cafe for a great breakfast or brunch, and Rip's On the Lake for Louisiana seafood dishes. For outdoor loving people, Fontainebleau State Park is a just a few minutes away and great for picnics, camping, or spending the day on the private beach. St. Tammany Trace is a nearby paved 31-mile path for bike riding or walking, and Lake Pontchartrain is great for those with a boat! Children can be a part of a little league team at Pelican Park or enjoy organized activities while parents use the fitness center at the Mandeville Sports Complex. There is truly something for everyone near this community!

 

What schools will the kids attend?

The Woodlands Subdivision is located within just a few miles from some of the area's prestigious blue ribbon Mandeville schools such as Woodlake ElementaryMandeville Middle, and Lakeshore High School.
