Sound Of Music To My Ears

 

 

Strange as it may seen for a lot of people, the sound of rain is music to my ears. It is a symphony that needs no explanation. The duration of its intermission has stretched way too long for comfort.

 

CA has been going through severe drought the last 3 years. Many have forgotten the smell and the sound of rain. Kids under 3 years are asking their parents ..." What is that falling from the sky." 

 

Southern California had a fire disaster yesterday. Our local highways and mountains are like tinder blocks waiting to explode. I am so glad casualties fell mainly onto properties and not on human lives. 

 

 

Yes...let it rain...and I will continue doing the Rain Dance.

Debb Janes - I feel like a fool. My lavender plant wasn't looking too good and I wanted to make sure it wasn't due to lack of water. I guess my efforts ended up drowning the poor plant.

Did you hear about the latest ordinance that was passed in Southern California? No visitors allowed from Colorado unless they bring some snow.

Kim Johnson  - there is nothing that compares to the fresh smell  after a dowpour. Just came back from a walk with my dog and it is absolutely gorgeous outside.

While we were watching our beloved Mets last night, the sportscasters noted that San Diego was in a rain delay for more than a little while. Glad you got some rain!

I miss the thunderstorms from growing up in Wisconsin ... the low rumbles and then the big clap that would make you jump out of your seat. Hoping some of the CA rain makes it into the Las Vegas valley today; we can use it!

Wow, three times a week is generous...most of the suburbs around the Dallas area could only water once a week during our drought.

Lisa Von Domek - If I were restricted to water only once a week, I would rather have artificial turf.  In Riverside county we are also mandated to lower our consumption by 24%.
