We run into this fairly often out here as we do a good number of MANU homes in Colorado

Bill Roberts We have our own engineer and we charge a fee of between $450-550 However, we never produce a negative cert.
David Shamansky We used to offer our services in Colorado and the rest of the Nation but it started getting a little complicated working out of state for a variety of reasons and we just got too busy in Cali.
However, if you ever need a referral for a well expderiencd engineer and/or qualified contractor I'd be happy to give you some contacts.
Good notice, John. I am a licensed Civil Engineer who provides foundation certifications for manufactured homes in Washington state. It can be a tricky requirement for VA, FHA, and USDA mortgages, and I'm happy to answer questions to help buyers, sellers, and agents understand the key steps of the process.
Thanks Richard, Good to know. I was actually licensed in Washington years ago as a MH contractor. But I never renewed my license because navigating out of state just became too risky for us. We've been using Dave Dahman for almost 25 years here in Cali albeit he is licensed in several States, He's one of the icon's of the MH foundation industry. I'm sure you've heard of him. Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep your contact info as we still get calls from WA.
John, What does an engineer charge for the cert?
