Greetings,

Time to put your left over banana's to good use for the next time you are having company over. Here is a yummy recipe that I found online. You will love it and your guest will too!

Ingredients
  • 4 medium ripe but firm bananas
  • 8 wooden craft sticks
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped lightly salted peanuts
  • 6 ounces good quality dark chocolate (60 to 70 percent cocoa solids), chopped
Directions

First step is to peel & then cut each banana in half crosswise and insert a craft stick into each half. Then place on a tray, cover with plastic wrap and place in the freezer until frozen( for about 3 hours).

Next step is to put peanuts in a shallow dish. Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over slightly simmering water, over the lowest possible heat, keep on stirring. Make sure the water is not touching the bottom of the top pan. Next step is to pour the melted chocolate into a tall cup or glass. Dip each frozen banana into the chocolate, turning it to coat, and immediately roll in the peanuts. Place on a tray covered in waxed paper. Serve immediately or wrap individually in plastic wrap or waxed paper and freeze for up to 2 weeks. You are going to love them!

Thanks everyone for the posts. I thought it would be fun to post a recipe rather than a listing. The summer heat is here, and why not cool off with a summer treat.
