Wordless Wednesday - Ready to Roll?

Good morning, Joanna --- I'm guessing cigar or tobacco leaves. Am I close or just lit? Dare I say too blunt?

Hi there John McCormack and Michael Jacobs and Ron and Alexandra Seigel and Beth Atalay and Joe Petrowsky - no rolling paper needed here - this is tobacco for Cuban cigars and now that the doors have swung open a bit, they will probably be more affordable. I happen to like the smell of cigars - I am probably the only one who does besides the guys that smoke them!

Hello Joanna Cohlan ,
No cigars for me, thank you - are these newly imported from Cuba? ![]()

Good morning Joanna. I was addicted to that plant for years. I still think about it now. Thankfully I quit
Good Thursday morning Joanna Cohlan - Well you had my curiosity up so I had to drop back by and see what your interesting pic was. You had me fooled.
Good morning Joanna Cohlan,
I may be a day late to check in but had to stop by to see if you posted yesterday! As usual an excellent title and love the guessing game. I was with Ron and Alexandra Seigel and Michael Jacobs on this one!

No smoking for me, don't even like to be near others who are. I was convinced your title was about bread rolls. LOL
Hi Noah Seidenberg it is an interesting photo - cigar leaves are beautiful.
Yes Lisa Von Domek they are now that we are on more stable ground with Cuba!
You are so lucky to have quit James Dray - it is an insidious addiction!
Really John McCormack - what did you think?
Hmmm, well Dorie Dillard - marijuana is not as beautiful to look at!
Hi there Sharon Tara I'm with you on this one but I did think the leaves had a beautiful shape and color!

OK Joanna, had I not read the comments in order I would have never guessed what it was:) as I started reading my imagination started running wild and.....anyway excellent brain teaser loved the title and the picture, Endre
Great photo - and knew they were not the leaves of the stuff many are rolling aournd here since it was made legal last year. I'm with Roger, your Wordless Wednesday posts do make us smile.
Thank you so much Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland , Endre Barath, Jr. and Debb Janes . So much fun for me to take photos and give them mysterious names! Make it a great week.

I see tobacco growing around here though it is burley or darkfire and the leaves are huge. I guess they grow a specail variety for cigars. I wonder where you were to see these.
Hi Debbie Reynolds ! I was actually in Little Italy in New York, where cigars are smoked by many, legal or illegal who knows, and there was a specialty market with cigar tobacco!
They looked like decayed leaves to me. The word roll made me think of tobacco. Isn't it going to be interesting to see what Cuba brings to the United States after all these years! I hope it's good for the economy of both countries.
I do have to agree with you, there are some really pleasant cigar smells. I preferred the smell of a pipe or a cigar over cigarette tobacco any day!
Looking back at the photo, all I can say is it would make an excellent and very difficult but challenging jig saw puzzle!
