Tuesday Travelogue-July 21st
Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our fifty-fifth week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
" to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
We are on our alphabetical trip across America. Today it's my state--OREGON!!!
Sunriver Oregon is one of my alltime favorite places. I had not seen this video before, from 2010 and it is STUNNING, start to finish. It captures some of the true essence of Central Oregon. Thank you, Tarris Rogers for sharing Cody Cha's amazing video!

Location: Sunriver Resort, OR
From central Oregon, we head west to the Pacific Ocean. Did you bring your camping gear? Here's Rick Obst's favorite campsite on the Oregon Coast!
I couldn't pass up this next one because the photos are plenty and for me it's the consummate localism post about a large produce market, but so much more. Schlichting Farm in Sherwood Oregon is next on our travels. Thank you, Jason and Amber Gardner.
This next stop is Southern Oregon. A California gal, Karen Pierce landed in Oregon and I don't think she's ever going to look back! She really spells out a nice story about the glories of Southern Oregon--more than just a vacation destination.
A must see when visiting Oregon is a trip I took last year for the first time. The glorious and spectacular Crater Lake--a true piece of history that everyone has come to see for centuries and staying at the historic Prospect Hotel 38 miles from Crater Lake, in Prospect Oregon (the hotel to stay in AND they're dog friendly!).
Please don't forget to comment on these blogposts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels. Feel free to join our group:
