Leads to a Really Nice Endorsement
I posted a link to my recent ActiveRain blog post on Facebook about having received multiple offers over list price on a new listing.
One of of my nice clients whose home I sold two years ago commented on my having sold the home so quickly. He wrote:
"Nothing new for Jill. Tell her you want to sell and you'd better start packing."
Some people may see it as a small thing, but I see it as huge. The property I sold for this nice client who, along with his wonderful wife I came to consider as friends also sold very quickly with multiple offers above the list price.
As a realtor, I am a service provider whose responsibility is to protect the best interests of my clients and provide as smooth of a transaction as possible. I strive to provide value that outweighs what I get paid.
When a client voices their appreciation at any point, but especially years later, it makes you feel really good. It was nice and it was genuine. It made me smile and sit up a little straighter, too.
