Fun in the Sun? Homes with Pools In Powder Springs & Marietta

Atlanta isn't really the land of the swimming pool.  Homes with private pools are not that common.

Our buyers either definitely want one or definitely do not.

When you think of a lovely, private pool, you envision lounging in the sun and the cooling waters staving off the oppressive heat and humidity that is the norm for Atlanta from late spring to early fall.

In Georgia?  Can you imagine how oppressively hot and humid it must be in there?  The metal roof baking in 90+ degree weather creating massive amounts of evaporation of the pool below.

Very interesting I would have thought Atlanta would have a lot of pools. We lived in AZ over 20 years and pools were everywhere. They can be expensive to keep up but very refreshing and fun.

Spirit Messingham I could definitely see something like that in NH but not here.  We have a long pool season and it's hot, hot, hot!

Roger D. Mucci I wouldn't even want to sit in that building without a pool, it's too hot!

Gene Mundt, Chicago-area Mortgage Lender - www.genemundt.com we have a lot of swim/tennis communities but there isn't an abundance of private pools.  Yes, it's been ridiculously hot here for weeks so I hope that someone kind find some relief in a new home with their very own pool!

Alan Kirkpatrick many people are converting their pools to saltwater which is a much more affordable and less labor intensive option.

We do not have many homes with pools either. I have had buyers who would not consider a house without a pool and others that wouldn't have one.

Debbie Reynolds pools can be a very divisive feature in a home.
