Oh Verizon, You're So Wacky

 

Verizon sent a text message to me saying I can get more data per month at no additional charge and no changes to my contract.  All I had to do is reply YES.  I've been receiving the same message for months and finally decided to reply yes.  Easy, right?

 

I immediately received a text message in return that said: "We're sorry, we couldn't upgrade your plan as requested.  Please contact Customer Service for assistance."  

 

Um....what?  I did my job and replied YES.  Now I have to call Customer Service, too?  

 

Oh, those wacky peeps at Verizon....

I have unlimited data with Verizon, but get that message and call freaking out.  Then I find out they have my plan correct, the message was sent in error.  I don't get their systems.

I dont like the way so many services continually try to upsell, it would be nice if they would just be happy with the agreement that we already have and let us concentrate on our own business without having to make sure they are not changing our contract when we are not looking.
