Disable right click on your website

One of the things you can do so that people will have a harder time copying your information, put the following css code in right after your . Just copy and paste it.

<script language="JavaScript1.1">
<!-- Begin<br>function right(e) {<br>if (navigator.appName == 'Netscape' &&<br>(e.which == 3 || e.which == 2))<br>return false;<br>else if (navigator.appName == 'Microsoft Internet Explorer' &&<br>(event.button == 2 || event.button == 3)) {<br>alert("Sorry, you do not have permission to right click.");<br>return false;<br>}<br>return true;<br>}<br> <br>document.onmousedown=right;<br>document.onmouseup=right;<br>if (document.layers) window.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEDOWN);<br>if (document.layers) window.captureEvents(Event.MOUSEUP);<br>window.onmousedown=right;<br>window.onmouseup=right;<br>//  End -->
</script>

I hope that this will help someone.

I've done that on my photography site, www.VenturaCountyVistas.com, but it will only stop a few people.  There are many screen caputure utilities that allow you to copy stuff and bypass any protection.  The only true protection would be to not put photos on the Internet at all.  But what fun would that be?

Joe,

Exactly, this will only slow the person who really wants them down a bit.

Geez, if I need a copy of one of my graphics or pictures in a hurry I go to my own website and right click and copy it. I'm not going to prevent myself from doing it. I agree with the above posts. Stopping right click won't stop someone determined to copy your material.

No Leslie, but it does slow them down copying pictures and it will prevent someone from copying text.
