Happy 24th of July/Pioneer Day - Utah!
Happy 24th of July/Pioneer Day Utah! Pioneer Day is a state holiday in Utah. It is celebrated on July 24 each year to commemorate the entry of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into Utah’s Salt Lake Valley in 1847. This day celebrates the bravery of the original settlers and their strength of character and physical endurance.
You'll see flags flying all over St George and throughout the state as Utah celebrates it's heritage and remembers those early settlers who sacrificed so much to get here. There are lots of events statewide, several of them right here in Washington County. There's a Pioneer Day celebration in St George and the Days of'47 in Washington Utah to mention a few! Pine Valley is hosting Pine Valley Heritage Days and Duck Creek Days is being held at Duck Creek Village.
