Last Chance to Catch the 2015 Colorado Renaissance Festival

There are only two weekends left this year to experience the magical family-friendly Renaissance Festival in Larkspur, Colorado.

For the price of admission guests have access to a wide variety of entertainment, including shows, jousting, a royal parade through the streets, performers, and a petting zoo. The pinnacle of the Medieval experience is the knights in shining armor jousting their way to victory. Choose your favorite knight and cheer them on as the day progresses.

The performances are also a high point, with silly shows that engage the audience and leave a smile on your face the rest of the day. Check out the hypnotist, fire breather, a pair of comedic wenches, and a wise-cracking comedian who will coax you into throwing tomatoes at his face.

The Renaissance Festival also appeals to the little knights and maidens, featuring activities such as an elephant ride, a wooden jousting game, and a giant swing for the whole family. While many of the attractions are free, some require an extra fee, but are well worth the additional expense.

Food and drink range from traditional fair favorites, as well as foods with a unique spin on the Renaissance cuisine, such as "smashed potatoes" and "dragon wings."  For those looking to shop, the Festival brings together artists and vendors selling handcrafted jewelry, clothes, artwork, and much more.

So travel back in time to the Renaissance and bring the whole family along for a day filled with laughs and fun. Tickets can be purchased in advance and at a discount at King Soopers, or bought at the gate.
