Speechless Sunday - Make-up Post

Real Estate Broker/Owner with New Paradigm Partners LLC EB #1326335

In June, Debbie Laity had a contest about showing our homes for the summer. I had really wanted to show off the results of all of the hard work Mary had put in on our gardens, but we had a really late spring and tons of rain, and nothing was really ready yet by the time the contest ended.

But it is now. One of the most spectacular plants Mary has worked with over the years are giant daylillies. They love it here and every year, she has to thin them out and spread them around. Now they're everywhere.

Daylillies & Sage

I particularly like these paired with our sage, another plant that has thrived and spread. They're both in full bloom now, and busy with hummingbirds and bees.

Those are beautiful lillies, Dick. I'm glad you waited to share until they were in full bloom. It was worth the wait.

I worked in my garden all day. I'm beat and beat up, but it looks good. I planted some more basil seeds in hopes of getting a late fall harvest. I'm also going to be doing a post on my garden for today.

Did you use the SX50 to take the pictures?

Dick - Those blossoms are off the charts spectacular!  Normally, I would feature this blog in the PHOTOS group.  However, you didn't include it.  Therefore, I want to offer you special CONGRATULATIONS on the amazing garden.

Mary created a beautiful garden!  Your photos are amazing.  Our torrential rains continued through the end of June and I'm still replacing perennials and planting annuals.  The good news is that our warm/hot weather goes through September!

Daylillies leave so much vibrant color to any garden.  I did not realize the purple were sage, I thought it was lavender.  Just beautiful Dick.  Congrats to Mary.

Dick, those are beautiful photos. Mary did a great job. I'd love to have a similar yard, but our yard is more like plant Hell. Neither of us has a green thumb.

Oh, Dick, I absolutely LOVE them with the sage. I have day lilies that we've discovered are there at the ranch from prior owners planting them. So very happy--and just my color! What kind of sage is that? I have some sage in a window basket with other herbs, but they aren't flowering. I have some purple mint, though, so that might be a good one to re-plant near them.
