Gaithersburg Farmers Markets

The Main Street Farmers and Artists Market is open Saturdays, year round, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You’ll find it in the Main Street Pavilion at 301 Main Street, one block off of Kentlands Boulevard. A variety of local artists with unique handcrafted items join the farmers at this location in the spring, summer and fall. Products available for purchase include a vast assortment of fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, various herbs, cut flowers, and potted plants, baked goods, dog treats, meat, eggs, and honey. Our seasonal arts and craft vendors sell jewelry, photographs, health and beauty products, knitted items, quilts, purses, woodworking items, clothing, children’s accessories, yard art, and more!

The Main Street Farmers Market is now operating year round, with products sold throughout the winter. Artists will continue to participate from May through November. Enjoy winter vegetables as well as produce grown in local greenhouses. Other items may include meat, breads, crabcakes, soups, dips and spreads, pickles, crepes, cupcakes and cookies, scones, eggs, honey, jams and jellies, hot drinks, herbs, soaps, and plants and flowers. The market will not open if weather is severe.

The Fulks Corner Farmers Market has extended its operating time. The market will be open Thursdays, May 7 through November 19, from 12:30 to 6 p.m. You’ll find it at the corner of Route 355 and Fulks Corner Avenue in Olde Towne. Crafters will not be present for this market. Products available for purchase include a vast assortment of fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, various herbs, flowers and plants, honey, cider, fruit butters, baked goods, and a variety of meat.

Both markets accept WIC, FVC and FMNP checks. This is a City of Gaithersburg announcement.

Unless you have a year round farmers market... which we don't... time is winding down on fresh fruits and vegies.

We used to love going to our local farmer's market.  I think we need to start going again after church.

It's nice to see more people wanting to get their food directly from the small producers.  We all need to support these people or we'll be eating way too much factory food to our detriment.

Richard, I think after church is the perfect time because you're in a very peaceful mode and the farmers market is also a very peaceful place.

Be well prepared for very hot weather.

Monitor those at high risk.
Extreme heat can be hazardous to your health and although anyone can suffer from heat-related illness, some people are at greater risk than others. Those most at risk for heat-related illnesses include children, older adults, those that work or exercise outside and those with pre-existing medical conditions. Elderly or disabled residents in Montgomery County in need of a free fan can call 311 for information.
