On a recent survey to over 1,700 REALTORS® in Hampton Roads, we found out some of the reasons why nearly 200 families chose to buy a new home in Founders Pointe. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive from the agents who responded and it reinforced some of the recent trends happening in the Carrollton area of Isle of Wight County, a growth area located just ten minutes from historic Smithfield.

The Recent Survey Shows Why More & More real estate agents are selling new homes in FOUNDERS POINTE. Many report that they were impressed with the “Surprisingly Convenient Location” and how easy Founders Pointe really is to get to.
They never realized that Founders Pointe was as close to shopping until they brought their client out to buy one of Sasser Construction’s new homes. 10 minutes to I-664, 10 minutes to the Peninsula, and 10 minutes from the town of Smithfield. Founders Pointe is on the eastern tip of Isle of Wight County where Route 17 passes through, and it makes it easy and quick to travel either to the Peninsula and/or Southside. Many have commented that they can’t believe a community of just 319 custom homes can have a lakefront pool with a 112’ waterslide, and an 844’ pier out to the river.
Finally, the REALTORS® loved the news that Isle of Wight County Schools has been rated the top school system in Southside Hampton Roads for the second year in a row, by schooldigger.com.
Isle of Wight County was recently ranked as the top ranked school system in south Hampton Roads, and among the TOP 3 (along with Poquoson & York County) in the entire Tidewater region. The County schools are currently ranked 16th in the state's 118 school divisions as reported in schooldigger.com's recent article ranking the various Virginia school districts.
