I have been doing a lot of market reports for different communities and home prices are headed up all over the place. The hard part about this job is I often see trends beginning before there enough numbers to prove it or demonstrate that fact.

The California Association of Realtors (CAR) puts out infographics periodically. The most recent one notes that prices are on an “uptick” but the focus of the infographic is Home Affordability. Take a Look:

What I find interesting is it says that only 30% of Buyers can afford a median priced home. Now if that were true the median home price would be dropping fast. Perhaps it means only 30% of non homeowners.
