Homes Near Starbucks... Really Worth More?

Do you love the smell of freshly brewed coffee inside Starbucks? If you can practically smell the aroma from your Ann Arbor home, good news. Research conducted by Zillow suggests that having a Starbucks near your home may increase its value! 

In fact, they found that homes within a quarter mile of a Starbucks increased in value by 97 percent from 1997 to 2014, compared to a 65 percent appreciation for homes not located near a Starbucks.

You must have been reading the book Zillow Talk? That statistic is in there, and I am still trying to figure it out. I can't wrap my head around the fact that being near a starbucks makes such a difference, then again in any major market what house is not close to a Starbucks.
