Here's One For The Team

Here's One For The Team!

We are starting to see more and more teams created in real estate agencies.

What is the true meaning of a "Team"?  Doesn't that mean that the group of people work together to accomplish something?  Maybe some of these "Teams" are just trying to accomplish a top ranking name in MLS or within their company.  The more people you have on a team, the more likely you are to get to the top, right?

I think many are starting to forget the real meaning of the word.

I scratch your back, you scratch mine!  This is how I think of teamwork.  Finding a way to work together to reach the ultimate goal.  Is the goal for our benefit or for the clients?  I know, we all like being at the top.

My real estate team "The Kuney-Todaro Team" works together for us and for the client.  Maybe one has the flexibility to run a buyer better than the other.  One might cover areas that the other doesn't.  One no longer does the active sales side but now takes care of all our marketing.  It's a comforting feeling knowing that I can refer someone to one of my team members knowing that they will do the same for a situation that doesn't work for them.

The client always appreciates knowing they are put in the best hands. It's a struggle for some to just pass off a full commission, but in the end it all evens out when there is a properly functioning team putting the needs of a client first.  I'd rather refer a client to one of my team members and collect a referral fee than not give them the service they deserve.

I am fortunate to be a member of a team that works this way.

Hi Tammy -- a clearly defined goal and organization are key to success.  Having the right foundation is definitely important and that's certainly true for Kuney-Todaro.

Team needs to have a common goal and believe in that goal. Then you can use each members best assets to help other members that are deficient in and succeed. If you have a good team the sky is the limit.

I've been a part of a few teams over the years, however, I do ultimately prefer being on my own. Being on a team does work great for some. You've got a fantastic team so I can see why it's such a positive.

Tammy, the way you describe "team" is the way I also believe it should work.  But many of the "teams" I see around here are only a team in the sense they all come under the guidance of one Realtor, but do not really team up or refer to each other.  In those type of "team" the only thing that is "team" about it is the name and Realtor that all the other Agents fall under.

Your "team" is a model that should be adobted as a true "team" model.

Ed Macias, common goal....I agree!

Nicole Doty - Gilbert Real Estate Expert    One of the best parts of The Kuney-Todaro Team is that we all do our own business but we lean on each other when need be.

Dan Hopper the client's needs come first.

George Souto those teams are formed to combine sales $ so they climb the ranking ladder quicker.
