Staying Ahead of the Crowd with Marketing - An ActiveRain Contest

It's time for a contest and one that will help you focus on your business planning and get some marketing ideas or additional tools put into place before the end of the year. This may give you the competitive edge to beat your competition. This will be an idea sharing and something that we can all benefit from and may help others in the Rain with their business strategies too.

We are keeping it simple but you do need to tell how you plan to put your ideas into action. Don't just think up something wild and crazy with no intention of following through. Creativity will be rewarded but it needs to be your plan and one you intend to use. You have to be willing to share what is on your mind, agenda or in your idea box of marketing tools. Some people will not want to put it out there for all to see, and that is okay. This is for those that do. You can make it a Members Only post if you prefer and just share with your fellow Rainers.

This is what you goes into your post. Pick 3 things that you would like to implement in your business before the end of the year that will enhance or help your business grow. Write about these 3 things telling why you have decided to do them and what you hope will be the outcome. It could be something small that you should be doing or are halfway doing now and it needs to improve. Or it may be something you have been intending to try. It could be you want to learn a new skill or try a truly out of the box idea.

There is no word count minimum but I do ask that you give enough detail that someone else can understand the whys and what you are planning. There are points in it for you. Everyone that enters a post in the contest with these topics will be awarded 1000 points in September provided they post a link to their post in the comment section below.

The contest starts August 1 and ends August 31 at 11:59 PDT (ActiveRain Time). When you have your post written and published then don't forget to post a link to your post in the comment thread of this post. That is the only way we will know that you have entered the contest.

Now to make it even more fun, I have a panel of judges that will be helping with the contest. Anita Clark, Barbara Todaro and Roy Kelley are all experienced marketing people and we learned from them every day. They have successful backgrounds in real estate and if you want to run a question or idea by them, I am sure the will gladly listen and help you.
