The 2015 Tour de Turtles (TdT) started today August 2nd. The Tour de Turtles was originally started in 2008 as a fun and educational way to learn about sea turtle migration. The Tour de Turtles was the brain child of the Sea Turtle Conservancy. The Tour de Turtles follows the migration of sea turtles from around Florida and the Caribbean. The Turtles, wearing satellite tracking devices attached to their shells, leave their individual beaches and travel the oceans for 3 months. The turtle that travels the furthest wins!
