Good evening everyone-I am sure everyone has heard the expression "Thinking outside the box" Well I have a raised flower bed with vincas and a couple of snapdragons that self seeded from last yr but in addition to them growing in the box there are a few of the vincas that were thinking outside the box and decided to grow out of the bottom of the box. I decided to let them grow there.  There is always surprises in a gardeners yard.

Rob-Vincas are very aggressive but they are worth having because they are pretty and drought resistant

Those little surprise plants are the best.  I have a surprise catnip in a tomato plant pot. :)  I'm giving it extra water.

Sharon - At least these are good surprises, and not weeds that sprouted.

I like the way they look growing along the side of the box. I wonder what surprises you will have this year.
