"Movies Under The Stars" series in Charlotte's South Park area returns this month, beginning Friday, August 7th. The "Movies Under The Stars" program is a great way to enjoy family-friendly movies with your children each Friday in Symphony Park in South Park at 4400 Sharon Road. The FREE series will run through August 28th.
The movie schedule includes the following:
August 7 – Big Hero 6
August 14 – Paddington
August 21 – Planes: Fire & Rescue
August 28 – Maleficent
Show times begin at dusk (be sure to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets). But prior to the movie, the Simon Kidgits Club will be sponsoring a Summer Carnival in Symphony Park, featuring games and fun activities for the entire family, as well as band music. The Carnival begins at 7:00pm and goes until the sun sets. Children do need to be Kidgits Club members to participate in the Carnival. Membership is only $5 for the whole year and you can register on-site. (Membership is not required for "Movies Under the Stars.")
The Charlotte Chamber likes to say "Charlotte's Got A Lot." And indeed it does, with Movies Under The Stars being one of many fun things to do in Charlotte. "Movies Under The Stars" is a great way to wind down your summer vacation with your children, so why not check it out on Friday, August 7th?
