It's been to long since I saw my father ;o(

By
Industry Observer

My father quit traveling by air several years ago because of his knees and back, so it's been long time since I've seen him.

His last visit to Las Vegas was 2-3 years ago, I can't even remember. And it's been around 4-5 years since I have visited him in Minnesota.

There is a friend of mine that sent me a text message yesterday and mentioned that the doctor has given his father 90 hours to live, give or take and my friend is the same age as me.

And my friends father mentioned to his children that he (Does Not) want to be hooked up to life support machines, so it's only a matter of days.

Between my sister back in Minnesota and my friend telling me about his father, it really has me thinking that Vegas Bob needs to visit his father.

So where has all the time gone?

The years seem to be flying by like fast forward ...

And is there anything we can do to slow down time?

A great thought Vegas Bob. Do not let the time slip away. I lost my father last October and think about him everyday.

Good morning Bob,

The younger one needs to visit the older one as it is easier for you VB. Maybe all these little signals around you are telling you with your wild traveling self to visit Minnesota. It is not as hard as you think and you may be overthinking this. Time is precious. Remember that Cats in the Cradle song, and take the lyrics to heart.

Time flies when you are having fun!  You should definitely go and see your Father, even when he is doing well.  Nothing can replace being face to face with those that we care most about.

Hello Tammy ... it's tough for me sometimes, but I first left my parents home when I was 15 years old.

I traveled to Portland Oregon with a high school friend and lived there for 5 years. I did travel back to Minnesota and stayed with my parents for several years and have been traveling and moving around the US ever since

VB/AB, very VERY important--look at the signs--they're all saying go see your dad. My father, my HERO, died at 65 and when he found out that he had cancer, it was about 6 months from diagnosis to death. And we lived 3, 000miles away from each other. I made it a couple of weeks before his very graceful death at home, but sure would have wanted to spend some of the more healthy last months with him.
