Yountville finally has installed two electric vehicle charging stations. In a press release from the Town:
Subject: New Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
On August 6, 2015, two new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations were installed at Town of Yountville facilities. The new stations in front of Town Hall and behind the Community Center each have the capacity of charging two vehicles at a time.
The stations were installed as part of a regional program known as the Bay Area Charge Ahead Project, a grant program funded by the California Energy Commissions, which will install over 150 charge ports throughout the Bay Area.
The Yountville charging stations are part of the Chargepoint network of charging stations. The Yountville stations will be on the Chargepoint website as well as its mobile app, giving potential users the ability to find the location of stations and whether they are occupied or available.
