Broward County is accepting applications from 30 residents (first come first serve basis) for Class IV of the Broward County Academy. This class is held for 8 weeks on Thursday evenings starting September 24 to November 12, 2015 Classes are from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
If you want to see how the county government works, this is your opportunity. Classes offer lectures, presentations, and tours. Years ago I had the opportunity to participate in Grand Prairie, Texas for the same class and it was outstanding! If I didn't have other commitments scheduled I would be signing up for this one! Now that I know there is one here, I'm going to keep my eye out for the next one.
To be considered eligible for the Broward County Academy applicants must be:
- 18 years of age or older
- A valid photo ID & provide driver's license number (for security screenings)
- Agree to a background check and a security screening
- Reside in Broward County Florida
- Agree to a background check and a security screening
- Be interested in and open to post-graduation opportunities in Broward County
