You can't help everybody in real estate, you know, even when you're completely sincere, for whatever reason, some people can take what you say the wrong way. Some dude on another website sent me an email this morning, probably a duplicate that he sent to many other agents on that site, asking for a sales price on a home his girlfriend owns, which she bought after it languished months on the market about half a year ago.
I suggested he go back to the Sacramento real estate agent who sold it to him and call it a day.
Whoa. That was NOT what he expected to hear, evidently, because he decided it was rude and condescending for me to offer him advice when he didn't want it. Darn it. He just wanted to know the sales price he should list it at, and why didn't I just give him what he demanded?
He is sooo not hiring a person who tried to nicely reject him. You can read more in my personal blog today about that incident at this link: How Not to Choose a Sacramento Real Estate Agent.
